ELECTRONICS COLLECTION DATES – 2013

January 5 (snow date January 12) -9-12 noon
March 2 ( snow date March 9) – 9-12 noon
May 4 – 8- 12 noon
August 3 – 9-12 noon
October 12 – 8-12 noon
All collections will be at the Town Garage

Electronics collections are now being run by Metech Recycling, one of the State of Ct. approved electronics vendors (www.metechrecycling.com)

You may also take electronics to New England Appliance, located in Canton Village on Rt. 44. Call first for hours (860-693-6337). Check them out on-line: www.shopnewenglandappliance.com . In addition, Staples and Best Buy have take back programs.
ACCEPTABLE: computers, monitors, printers, VCR’s, cell phones, DVD players, copiers, scanners, fax machines, televisions, ipods/pda’s, modems, keyboards/mice, stereo equipment, telephones, microwaves, cameras.
NOT ACCEPTABLE: smoke detectors, items with Freon, hazardous material, small plug in appliances (coffee makers, toasters, etc. Small plug in appliances can, if they are still useful, be donated to Goodwill or the Salvation Army. If they are not useful, please save for a scrap metal or bulky waste collection. You can also put them into your trash ).

ARE YOUR ELECTRONICS STLL USEFUL?
Perhaps you can donate to the following: a day care center or nursery school, an agency that has a “wish list”, Goodwill, Salvation Army
